Alameda County East Piano Competition

The purpose of our branch competition is to provide an opportunity for students who have few or no competition experience in a warm and inclusive atmosphere. We hope that you will encourage your students to enter the competition. Not only this is a valuable experience for the students, but the contestants will receive written, helpful comments from each highly qualified jury before CM.

We are now opening our sign-up for our annual Piano Competition 2026. You will find the sign-up form link below.

Competition:
Date: 2/28/2026 - Saturday
Time: TBD - after sign-up deadline
Location: First Presbyterian Church of Livermore

Sign up:
Date : 12/1/2025 - 12/15/2025

Repertoire change deadline: 2/1/2026

Winner concert :
Date : 3/7/2026 - Saturday
Time frame: TBD Afternoon
Location: Same as Competition

Details are provided in the sign-up form, but here are some important points to keep in mind.

8 minutes cap on performance time
Any composer/arrangements/edition welcome - Will require music scans
Medal winners will be invited to the winner's concert in the following week
ONLY the winner concert will be recorded. The video will be put on our YouTube afterward.
The competition fee will be $80 per student
Just like all our branch events, only TEACHERS are allowed to sign up and make payments.
Each teacher is only allowed to sign up a maximum of 5 students. This limit may be lifted if we can fit more participants after the deadline has passed.
